Door unlock Issue - Which Actuator to replace
Hi All
I need some more advice. At present Only my drivers door and boot locks and unlocks with the key and also with the internal switch. The rest of the doors only open once the internal handle is pulled to unlock the door. There after the doors can be opened from both inside and outside. The fuel flap also doesnt lock at all. I have checked fuses 72 and 73 and they are intact. Fuse 72 has 15amp Fuse 73 has 20amp. I also disconnected the battery for a minute the other day but this has not helped. My question is do I need an auto electrcian to diagnose this or do I just need to replace the actuators on the passenger and rear doors? Thanks in advance Last edited by mistertml; 12-18-2017 at 02:18 AM.. Reason: mis-spelling |

Hi All
Is there any advice anyone can provide on this? I have also read that if both the front actuators need to be replaced. If this is the case has anyone got the part number as there is a Actuator set available but can only see this in the american version. Would the same part number apply? I have found 2 part numbers for the actuator set: 51217263086 and 51217272999 Many Thanks Last edited by mistertml; 12-19-2017 at 06:34 PM.. |

Parts Ordered
Good Morning
I have just spoken to my local BMW (Bowker) Delaer and ordered the actuator set for around £45.00 +VAT = £54.00 for the set. Delivery is 3-5 working days so I should hopefully see them at some point after the Xmas break. The person at the parts desk adviosed that as they are so much cheaper to buy as a set than seperately people tend to snap them up and have to be ordered from Germany. Any ways I will keep you posted on how things go. |
