Black w/blue stitching & matte wood trim?
Getting close to pulling trigger on M40i. What do folks think about matching the black leather with blue stitching and matte wood trim? Does it clash? (Aluminum looks like a more natural match to me, but my wife wants wood and isn't a huge fan of the gray poplar.)
Alternative would be black leather with white stitching. |

Same combo I'm thinking of. I really want the blue stitching but I'm unsure of the matte wood trim with it.

I think the matte wood trim looks awesome as there was a 30i in the dealership optioned with black-white stitching and it looked great. IMO, the blue stitching and blue trimmed mats clash so going with black-white stitching would be my choice. I am also not a huge fan of the weird heavy metal trim that lines the edge between the dash and glove box that reappears on the other side of the steering wheel. That is why I went with the Aluminum Rhombicle. Hope that helps. Let us know what you decide. Good Luck!

But if you like it that's all that matters. In terms of matching I really don't know. Imho the matte wood works better with light leather. |

I love the matte wood. If I had the garage space, money, and a bit of crazy, I'd buy a sporty one (blue over black with silver of some sort), and luxury (carbon over oyster with matte wood). The oyster with matte makes the interior look like a Volvo. Very clean and sophisticated.

Matte with the blue is by far the best combo in my opinion. Was negotiating one via text and someone came in before I could get down there and bought it so we had to settle for the black leather with the matte trim. The blue stichting is subtle but has enough pop to make it unique and the matte wood trim has a modern but sporty feel. You will not regret that combo

Those seats really do look amazing. It is nice to see the bolstered non-ventilated seats. I understand that in warmer climates the ventilated seats are important. But for me it is not necessary as most of the time when it is really hot, I am driving my Z4 with the top down!

Anyone know how the ventilated seats are controlled (assuming it’s a fan)? Looking at the center control console by the heated seat and climate buttons I don’t see anything obvious.
Also how are the typical ducting modes handled on the climate control? I also don’t see the floor, dash, & defrost icons I’m used to. Finally going for a test drive in a few days. |

The ducting modes can be seen at the 11 and 1 o'clock positions above each dial, and like the seat fan controls, pushing it selects either upper body, upper and mid, and then floor as well. Enjoy your test drive! |

OT and unrelated to your beautiful new X3, but how did you manage to get your Bimmer Post garage list in chronological order and designate current or sold. I have tried playing around with my own garage list, and I end up giving up, b/c I find it a PITA. Thanks
