black is a very unforgiving colour to own. scratches, dust, mud you name it. alpine white looks amazing plus you can do black accents on it to make it look sharper & more aggressive [IMG][/IMG]

If I rebuilt my car all over again I would probably go with Grey or Silver. My Alpine White 340 can't stay clean for more than 1 day after a wash which is the only reason I regret getting my 340 in Alpine White. But if black and white were the only available color's I would probably go with white although it can't stay clean it would be my choice.

Neither, both require almost daily washing. The most practical color would be Road Crud Tan.

I had an Estoril Blue 335 and now I have a Black Saphire Metallic 340 and I regret my life. I literally have to was the car every day, can't give it to shops to clean because swirls all over. Get Estoril Blue! I was able to go 2 weeks without washing it.

What color do you like? You are the one that has to live with it, not us.

I've had 2 black and 2 white BMW's. White is easier to maintain than black plus the black accents make it pop and look more aggressive. I'd recommend white any day.

I’ve had three black cars that always looked dirty.

I’ve had three white cars, including the current one, that never show how dirty they are. The black car will look bad 30 minutes after washing. The white cars need to be absolutely filthy to look like they need a wash.

As said earlier, White doesn't show swirl marks and is one of the colors that doesn't have an up charge for paint.

You can’t go wrong for looks with either black or white.

For years I would go back and forth with black and white vehicles. White is so much simpler to keep looking perfect all the time. I think I’m sticking with white and stop “cycling” colors.

Just as a little PSA, Jet Black and Carbon Black were two of the most difficult BMW colors for me to keep perfect. If you go black, Sapphire Black is much more forgiving.

Good luck with your decision

If you want 20 more HP, then go White. Everyone knows Black is the slowest color.

Originally purchased a black 3 series and recently switched up to Alpine white, best decision I've made. The black was always dirty no matter what I did. I'd wash it and the next day you would see a layer of dust on it . It drove me crazy. Alpine white is much more forgiving in my opinion.

Get a purple one & stand out from the crowd. Can imagine asking anyone especially people I don't even know what color car I should spend my money on.

White is easier to maintain. Black looks great when clean. What interior color are you going to get?

I think both those colors would look good on black. I would only do the red on the white, not the brown.

Black interior costs less and ages better. I would get piano black and brushed metal trim.

White. Period. Like someone noted earlier, white has to be absoutely filthy before it looks dirty. White doesn't show scratches, scuffs, or paint chips like most colors. White is timeless and looks stellar with some well choosen black pieces (don't go overboard with the Stormtrooper motif though like so many do; less is more).

I've had two black cars in the past. What a nightmare. They show every piece of body damage because black is like a mirror. A small ding explodes in the light. Wheel gaps appear larger than they really are and black brings out the brown in tires. Black also completely wipes out the character lines of a car.
