Buying USED BMW -- Aftermarket Warranty?
I might buy a rebuilt 335 for around 15k m sport fully loaded 52k miles...
Last one i had to give up because i started having issues with vanos no one could resolve and spent hundreds on diagnoistic with no resolution... trying to avoid that this time... I would just buy a newer one with certified warranty but i drive 30k+ miles a year and dont think its sensible to buy a newer one at this point in life... Anyone here ever purchase aftermarket warranty for their BMW or recommend one? |

Look out for shady warranty companies. I purchased a warranty for an E36 BMW a few years back. The company refused to pay when the tranny needed repair; they said that the warranty didn't cover "pre-existing conditions", and since the tranny failed due to wear, they considered the problem pre-existing. I complained to Missouri, the state the company HQ was from. They didn't help; they stated that the company appeared to be failing in its responsibilities and recommended that I take them to court.
