Nevermind
Hey everyone i posted in another thread about this oil leak i had, anyway long story short. I took it to the dealer to replace my valve cover gasket under the SULEV Warranty. After a week the guy called me and left a voicemail saying bad news man, your valve cover is broken not your valve Cover GASKET. So it took them a goddamn week to start inspecting my car. Anyway Im waiting for a call back right now. Anyone know if this is covered as well because this part costs 4 times as much as the gasket and seems to me like its of equal importance. Any advice rn is appreciated.Thank you

4 times as much? Is that parts and labor? Not sure how they could charge you $4000 to replace that.
The valve cover gasket is $18 for the part. BMW usually charges about $950-$1,200 for parts and labor to replace the gasket. The valve cover part is $377. The labor should be the same as the gasket. So we're looking at about $1,000 + 377. Let's just say $1500.
