LED Fog Lights?
I took delivery of my '18 230i on Oct 25th at the PDC. The large list price sheet that they stick on the window of cars on the lot lists LED Fog lights as a "Standard Feature." However, the fog lights are not to be found on my car. There is a place to the left of the knob to control the headlights where I think the fog light switch might have been located, but that is blank in my car.
Did selecting the M-sport package or something else cause the "standard" fog lights to disappear?

Exactly, selecting the M sport package with THP deletes them as it needs those grills for extra cooling for the additional radiators.

LED foglights on a 2018 2 series are pretty useless. Not much light and only there for show. Drove a 2018 230 two days ago and tried the fogs.

Thanks for the info. I won't miss having them that much if they aren't that good anyway.

That and you have THP so you're already leaps forward, imo. Lights won't matter when you're digging into a corner

Congrats on your new ride. I don’t think you will miss the fog lights either, M sport design looks better, imo. Curious how you managed to get no sunroof. I thought it came with the M sport design without option to delete. Any insights?

On the 230, M-sport package is an option, and included within that is an option to delete the sunroof at a savings of $900. The delete is also possible on the 240, but in both cases you need to make sure the dealer writes up the order properly. The "build your own" app on the BMW web site doesn't show the option to delete it.

Thank you bensanford. I will be ordering my 2018 230i in January and would really prefer the M sport design (especially that M steering wheel!); however, that design no longer comes in glacier silver (ugh!, my preference), so I will likely order the luxury design instead (available in silver), fog lights and all. I will be checking most of the boxes, premium tier, THP, etc...and fear I won’t be able to delete the moonroof. I don’t want it and know I won’t use it, but more importantly I am concerned about head room. I am tall and this could be an issue. I will, of course, have this discussion with my SA. Thanks again for your insight.

I have a 230i on order, fog lights was not possible to remove since it is standard equipment. Curious now if mine also will come without the fog lights.
I would prefer them being deleted, but I have a feeling this extra radiator isn't applicable to BMW's delivered to cold climate areas (Norway in my case). We will see in 3-4 weeks |

MDF164: If you are worried about clearance under the moonroof, GO SIT IN A 230 WITH A MOONROOF BEFORE YOU PLUNK DOWN AN ENORMOUS SUM OF MONEY. Don't trust your SA. S/he wants to sell a car and is not worried about you bumping your head on the ceiling.

Don't forget that the seats adjust up and down quite a bit - first time in a 2 series I freaked out that it only had room for a 5'6"er until I lowered the seats. And definitely check the clearance with a 'test-sit' - I'm right at 6'0" and would have had room, but not as much as I like; I think it eats up lots of the rear headroom too. I didn't add the sunroof as I have no interest, and lots of reasons to dislike them; does give me s/t to play with for novelty when I get a loaner.
