2014 435xi

Hello all, new to the forum and BMW ownership. I picked up a 2014 435xi with 49,500 miles. I'm considering the JB+ for n55, BMS CDI and new charge pipe. It has already had a muffler delete. Are there any concerns, issues or recommendations I should take into account?

Charge pipe is good, but I think you'll get more out the jb4 if u get a downpipe upgrade before BMS intake. But it'll be loud if you already have a muffler delete.

Man! Your thing must be loud already! As another poster has said, go for the mid pipe/down pipe first.

With extra horsepower (and more spirited driving), Bilstein or KW coilovers and bigger brakes will be helpful.

JB+ may cause some check engine lights and error codes, just something to be aware of, but expect big increases in power.

I think as long as he leaves it at the factory setting, he should be fine.

What do you mean factory setting?

The default setting from Burger Motorsports on the JB+ is 3.5psi over stock as per their website.

Ok. I thought you meant BMW factory not BMS.
So 3.5 would be map 1 I'm assuming.

There are no maps to select. Its not like the jb1 or 4. Its a simple plug in module. You can adjust the boost higher if you choose by opening it up and turning the dial inside. It's adjustable up to 4psi over stock.

I plan on keeping it at the 3.5 setting. Down and charge pipes are “step 2” lol

Let me know what it sounds like with a downpipe, if you do it. I have full muffler (mid and rear) delete. I love the sound, but do not think I can take it being any louder.
