Best wheel fitment for a f30?
I have a 2014 328i xdrive. What's the best wheel fitment if I'm going to get air suspensions for the car and also rolling fenders?

If you did your homework, you should be able to figure this out on your own. It all depends on what size wheels, tires, offsets. But hey, if u wanna be lazy and have us do the legwork!! Thus the reason for no replies hahaha

The best wheel fitment for an F30 (or any car) is OEM. If you want to look special (needs), then go hog wild with dubs, but don't expect your car to drive like BMW intended. Also, big wheels with small brakes look naff.

20" wheels are pretty much the worst for everything on an F30. Worst comfort, worst handling (than 18" or 19" wheels), worst cost efficiency for tires (check the price difference for 19" tires vs. 20" tires). And, in my opinion, 20" wheels look just a touch too large for the car. Obviously that is a very subjective thought, but I think 19" wheels are the sweet spot for cost/looks/comfort. There are OEM 20" wheels available, so clearly not unprecedented. Just look at the photos part of the forum, pretty much every wheel that's ever been made for F30 bolt pattern/offset has been fitted. |

My comment was only that "Best" doesn't equal "largest." |

I just stick with stock tire widths, it's just easier. Tires are easier to find and because of that they are usually cheaper too. I'm not sure at the front, but for sure 9.5" is easy to fit in the back. Just go to the photos section and look at different cars and see what you like and then just replicate what they did. All the info for tires sizes and wheels widths/offsets is usually there with the pic as well. |
