HRE wheels.... Bending issues.

I hear HRE wheels bend. Will every 3 piece wheel bend? Can anybody shed any light on the issue? Is it worth spending the money? Any wheel recommendations to avoid this problem?

Not all 3 piece wheels will bend, but if you hit a large pothole you have a decent chance of bending it. I wouldn't track hre wheels either. And if you have a problem with them, the customer service sucks unless they have changed in the past few years.

actually I had a wheel problem with HRE before (not blend issue). I speak with their rep Vince, hes a great guy and he fixed my problem instantly. I recommand you to speak with him if that happens(hope not).

PS - i think any wheels will blend if u hit a large pot hole.

All 3 peice wheels have a good chance to bend when you hit a large pothole. HRE has a good warrantee I belive its 5 years. Vince is the repair rep to talk with great guy.

Only one problem, HRE does not sell replacement lips or inner barrels. You have to send them to HRE to get them fixed. They offer decent prices for fixing though.

I owned HREs but didnt put a lot of miles on them..... they didnt bend...

I owned BBS LMs on both my M3s, totalling probably 30,000 miles on both sets, never bent either set.

HRE's tend to have more bending incidents than others. quality vs. price HRE fail big time IMHO.

i guess all wheels can bend, but HRE/iforged and other crap like that is more prone to it. BBS/Volk are good quality
