I paid $ 10.56 for it. have had it a month. own a galaxy s7 edge with a case. I cannot believe the quality of this device esp for the cost. excellent fit, easy to use.

The problem with all the CD slot holders is that it may leave a small fold on the two strip of material inside the CD slot. No one will ever notice it, but my OCD will keep highlighting that little crease. It eventually went back to normal, but that was only from a day of use. I'm going to guess a prolonged period of use may cause the crease to stay longer if not permanent.

sorry, did I just hear ocd? lol..are you talking about something internal that nobody can see but us? ha-ha. I have not used a cd in over a decade so I have never looked past the exterior. the unit I have is made well, need little to stay in place, has pads, etc. I cannot see how it could cause any damage but I have not looked past the exterior slots

What is so important on a phone that anyone needs it mounted to see the screen? The incoming texts ? , Snapchat, the internet ? Isn't the Bmw's interface enough for calls? What are you using your M2 for, Lyft / Uber ?

Drivers need to focus on driving and quit messing with their smart phones especially with a car that can go 0-60 so quickly !

So let me get this straight. You live in the most car congested area in the country with the most stop and go traffic and you want to look at tiny smart phone screen instead of your m2 screen. Ok got it.

So don't get mad at the next ride share driver or anyone that plows your M2 while they are looking at Waze or Google maps and not paying attention to the road or other drivers. If you survive, tell him, "thank you sir, I do the same thing in my car".

Eh, the $10 BMS clutch stop is the the best $10 mod for this car still.

Waze is better for showing traffic, upcoming objects in the road, detours, police, etc.

Waze is a must in LA/OC/IE traffic. No navigation app comes anywhere close. Especially not stock car 'live traffic' navigation. My Mercedes and Lexus consistently put me in traffic jams. Always ended up pulling out Waze which would give me dramatically shorter routes. (crowd sourcing traffic info the others don't have)

Same with every other shitty premium/luxury rental Avis has put me in (CTS, MKS, V60, 300, Q50). I think 'Sirius XM Live Traffic' is in a lot of those cars.

Even Google Maps which uses Waze data is inferior because it doesn't have access to the real time crowd sourced obstacles.

Haven't tried it in a BMW but I'm sure it can't be any better.

Doms335d, what I'm trying to say is the CD phone holder positions a cell phone a lot lower than the BMW display causing your eyes to look down and away from the road distracting a driver from DRIVING. Not to mention that most drivers will use that phone for much more than just navigating.

So I guess the E46 and every other car with navigation that isn't super high up on the dash is causing distracted driving, got it. Better not look to adjust your HVAC controls ever.

That's actually true in my opinion. I realized when i rented some cars that the quick look to a nav system that is on some brands quite low, make your eyes go completly off the road, i would not be at all comfortable driving on tight roads with strong bends (which very comon where I live) and look at these.

So a mount thats on the same level of the BMW nav screen should be good. The phone being smaller than the BMW nav screen is a argument you are trying to nit pick at. I can see both screens perfectly as it is 12 inches away from my eyes...
