N52 engine fuel injection or direct injection?

I searched in Google trying to find the information about N52 engine fuel delivery system. Does N52 use fuel injection?

I am thinking about buying an used 2006 325i for my 17 year old son. His 2004 325i was totaled by drunken driver in Newport Beach, CA.

DI is only on the N53/N54/N55. N52 does not use direct injection.

To be specific, N52 uses port injection.

BMWs have used port injection since '76 or so. Direct injection on the turbo-charged engines, and the N53 for Europe starting in '06-07 or so.
