2nd scratch on rear passanger rotor

I noticed this on my car back in May after hearing a grinding noise from the rear of the car:

I ended up getting the pad and caliper inspected and everything seemed fine. I was told perhaps a pebble had gotten in between the rotor and pad. Anyway i go get my calipers painted and replace the rotor a few months later. Then today i noticed it again!

Didn't hear any grinding noises this time. Could it be the pad or the caliper? I'm dropping the car off again Friday to have it looked at. Anyone else have this issue? Thoughts?

Such anomalies on the surface are quite normal, i think.

I have the same issue with M performance brakes which are dimpled, same conclusion, a pebble has ploughed its way through the brake pad and this keeps from removing the rust on the disc.

When the rest of the pad is leveled that should clear the surface
