Retrofit Flappy Paddles

Hi guys,

Do you know if you can retrofit the flappy paddles on a 340i? My car didn't come with them and I have recently discovered the shift to the left and taking it right up to 7000rpm I had them on my 330D but never use them so I didn't see it as a requirement.

But now I have changed my mind

Not sure if it's a different gearbox though..isn't the gear shifter different..not sure if that's cosmetic or a different box/software
the flaps come with the sports gearbox..

Sure somebody will know more

This I though, sport auto option? Maybe paddles are possible. I find the paddles great for overtaking but prefer to use the stick for my manual simulation action.

I seem to recall the normal auto can be made into the sports auto fairly easily, possibly even with coding. As for paddles I would have thought you could add them but God knows how much that would cost.

Def was possible on the early F30's. The actual box is the same its just coded differently from what I remember. The gear selector looks different but is just cosmetic.

There may be the need for an extra wire to run from the wheel to the FEM module. Some already have the wire in place.

Will probably need to change the actual steering wheel unless its m-sport. I believe you can just purchase a new rear part with space for the paddles.

Take a look at the guide attached.
