Wheel spacers can make a noticeable difference to handling, and not always for the better. IMO, the biggest affect is caused by increasing the scrub radius. I increased the front spacers on my car from 10 mm to 15 mm (so I could move the 10 mm to rear) and I noticed the difference right away. The steering was more sensitive and twitchy, especially at turn-in. I got used to it, but not everyone will appreciate such a change.

I took some pics of 15F/20R spacers with stock wheels -
View post on imgur.com The tires are a bit bulkier than stock (winter tires) |

I don't know how much space there is between the rim and the shock.
This setup would be 13mm closer to the shock on the inside so it might interfere. On the outside it would be 25mm wider so pretty much flush with the fender. 8.5 width would be a safer fit. |

The understeer issue was when you ran 15mm Front and 20mm Rear... so, it shouldn't be an issue if I go 20mm Front and Rear, especially in day-to-day mixed city/highway driving, correct?
Likely going to order from ECS soon, unless there are other viable options. Thanks, guys! Fred Quote:

I currently have 225/50/18 winter tires with 18X8 ET 40 wheels. I just ordered H&R sports springs and I'm looking to add some spacers for a flushed look.
Looks like I should be able to place 15mm spacers on the front and rear unless I'm missing something. Any input is appreciated. Thanks in advance |

Im running the factory 19's right now. 19x8 ET47. With my 12.5mm spacer im at 34.5 and im pretty flush I could prob go a little more but honestly its perfect right there. You'll be at 25 with a 15mm spacer. Id go conservative and maybe get the 5mm? Get the wheels in and mount them up. If its not enough, measure where you want to be and order up what spacer you want to get.
Turner Motorsport had my spacers available and shipping was free and fast. |
