The car fails to start !!!
I have purchase a 2006 320d e90 with 100k miles on it.
It was running fine. Over the weekend, I decided to clean the AGE valve. There was loads of soot. Cleaned with carb cleaner and plastic brush. Refitted. Everything A OK. Next day I decided to open the Inlet manifold. Followed the instructions and got it out. Really full of soot. Detached the electrics and MAP sensor. Cleaned it well. Again carb cleaner brush and hosed it. Refitted the swirl valves. Mechanism working manually. Everything refitted. The Car suddenly refused to start ! Long ignition goes on but not starting. What could I have messed up. Any help to trouble shoot please. I re-fitted the Inlet manifold again today. Every wire is plugged where it should be. No loose vacuum pipes or electric connectors. Again a long ignition. Does not start. Bat condition indicator is geen. Multimeter voltage is 12.10V I even disconnected the Battery overnight. No joy. |

Get a BMW compatible code reader and read the codes.
It looks like you molested the MAF sensor. It is fragile, and will not be happy being sprayed with random chemicals. |

I am getting an OBDII scanner & reset tool in the mail tomorrow.
Is the small sensor failure on the top rear side of inlet manifold could lead to non-start ? THANKS Meeni |

Please help me with the non start issue.
The car failed to start. Now it's been 5 days that it's stranded in my driveway There is no fault codes when I scan it with Maxiscan ms309. The engine cranks and cranks and stops.... I could not hear the rear seat pump Checked the kpm2 fuel controller module is getting 12V supply but does not supply any Voltage to the wires going into the floor plate ( presumably to fuel pump ) even when I switch on the ignition. Does that mean the KPM2 is faulty ?? Can I disconnect the pump wires and directly supply them 12Volts to check if the pump makes pumping sounds ??? Any help would be highly appreciated: |
