Cheapest tries possible for e90?
Hello everyone I need some input on some cheap tires. The wire is starting to show on both of the fronts, obviously need an alignment also.
But the car is an 06 330xi so I would need a set of 4. Currently have proxy 4 plus on now and have gotten about 70k miles out of them but I paid $900 and done change and the car is just not worth a whole lot now and may sell it. Any tires from like les Shawb that I can have installed for like $450?

What size tires you need? I have some 235/40/18 and 245/40/18 Conti DWS 06 All season tires I'd let go for cheap 235's have about 3k miles on them and the 245's have LESS than Three Hundred miles

The best bang for your buck, cheapest tires would be Continental DWS.
Stick with a 225 width, and you might be surprised how inexpensive they are for what you are getting. Also, buy the warranty. This way you will get a credit for the next set of tires if they don't make it 45,000 miles. I bought them for my wife's x5, and we got 38,000 miles. So, Direct Tire gave me a $200.00 credit towards the new set. Try pricing them out on discount tire direct vs direct tire. Discount tire will give you the better price. |

The cheapest option is a full set of wheels w/ tires from Craigslist or Facebook. With an 06 you don't need TPMS so that makes things easier as most CL wheels have had their TPMS removed. I got a great set of 16" for $100 last month. You will need 17" for your 330i. I see full sets of 17" with 50% tires sell for under $300 often.

I just went through same thing between jobs bald front tires here is what I came up with I live in Oregon driving a 2006 330i
You can replace two at a time better to get two good tires than four Chinese knock offs with improper rating that you will replace way too soon. I really like Discount Tire and hard to find a lower price anywhere they will price match anyone including their own online store www.discounttiredirect.com I couldn't find a lower price between Costco, Les Schwaab, Sears and any other online source. Tirerack had some really, really good reviews on the BF Goodrich g-force Comp 2-A/S which came to $110.95 each or $300 for front two installed including road hazard I will never again run run flats too expensive too rough of a ride I replaced my wheels due to wheel stupidity resulting in a non-staggered setup on Sports packaged Best of luck and please help others in future and give us an update on what you ended up doing http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...0&rd=18&cs=225 |
