My back hurts. Ouch

I have the 2017 BMW 320i. My back hurts like crazy from the car. I don't have any of those lumbar or side bolster stuff. Does anyone else have this issue? Did you find a way to fix this issue? I've tried sticking a pillow, but it pushes me way too far up.

Should have gotten the sport seats with lumbar support. I absolutely detest the stock seats in the F30s.

Any time I have had loaner 3 series with the standard non sport seats, my back starts aching within like 20 minutes. Some of the worst seats in the business and have no place in a car at this price point. I have had bottom of the barrel $30 a day airport rentals with better seats. Atrocious, really. I feel your pain.

I had this issue on a 2003 530i with non-sport seats. I took off the back plastic panel on the seat. It exposed the seat frame and I used plastic ties to pull part of the metal frame that put pressure on the lumbar area. This helped.

I had issues with my upper arms and shoulders getting very tired during long drives until I lowered my seat. You need to experiment with different positions unless your 320 only gives you the basic adjustments. If it allows you to adjust the angulation or tilt of the whole seat, that's one I always try first. Here's something else you might try since it's inexpensive: https://www.amazon.com/Dreamer-Car-S...ustomerReviews

I've got a seriously bad back, and have no problem with the stock seat, even on an eight hour trip. But it's the 8 way power seat, not the 6 way manual seat. The back seats, designed apparently by Torquemada, were uninhabitable until I put in these:

Wait, OP, are you the 17 year old whose parents got him the car from the other thread? Im just realizing this. Dude, your 17, you shouldn't have back problems.

When I was 17 I think I was too busy taking bong hits before class in my totally shitty 1972 VW bug that cost $1000 to be concerned with the seat comfort. Actually by that time I had a Honda Accord that was like 8 years old. Pretty sure the seats sucked in that thing too. I don't think I was worried about it though. Was probably worried about how much beer I could steal from my supermarket job and fit in the trunk, en route to some campground party...

Good god what has become of the younger generation?

I really enjoyed reading your post. Yes, I am the same 17 year old lol. I have no idea what is wrong tbh. When I sit in other cars, my back is all good. When I sit in this car, I feel like I'm an old man with back pains. Every time I get out of this car, I stretch my back and there's always a loud cracking noise. I currently think that this car is not meant for my body. I'm 5' 11 and I am not skinny. I'm not really fat either- I'm in between skinny and fat. Maybe this has to do with why my back hurts? Are BMW's meant for skinny people?

The sport seat are much better but the only time I got tired of the non sport seat in my 328d was during a 9 hours trip.

You could ask the service department to remove it and look at the gram and see if any part could be apply pressure to the lumbar region

I not sure I have any photos from that time anymore.
