That's Hawaii for you. Years ago I was working at an MSP doing computer repair. Had a guy bring a laptop in that had a defective motherboard or something...he had just been vacationing in Hawaii. I open the laptop up and like a dozen fuckin' roaches scatter across my workbench.

^ Yup. Found a bunch of roaches in my rental Jeep while on vacation there. Much like any populated tropical island, they are a problem.

How about fumigation? You will probably be finding dead ones all the time, but at least they won't be crawling on you. Disgusting. I'd trade it in personally.

If he want's a free solution, maybe a friend is ready to have their house fumigated and he could ask to park the car in the garage during the fumigation?

I think the only downside for the friend would be that they wouldn't want to risk mutant fumigation and apocalypse immune roaches possibly invading their garage.
