335i After Market Exhaust Dilemma-Need Suggestions

Hello All!

Can anyone out there recommend an aftermarket exhaust that doesn't drone too bad in comfort mode or at low RPM for a 335i? I am considering a Borla, but need some real world owner feedback.

I had an Agency Power exhaust on my 335i; i absolutely LOVED it in sport mode, but being my daily, I drive a lot in comfort mode and at LOW RPM's the tone of the exhaust would cause a lot of rattling noises in the car to the point I had to take it off and put the stock back on Now i regret taking it off, but I can't stand the rattling in comfort mode. Can anyone out there with the Borla on their car let me know how it is to live with? Or suggest solutions/alternative exhaust's that don't drone/cause major rattling?

Thanks in Advance!

Depends on your price range and what your looking for when it comes to sound (loud or quiet).. if money is no object then you will be hard pressed to beat akrapovic. No drone at all with superior build quality. It is not as loud as eisenmann or some other aftermarket exhausts in low RPM but when you push it, it sounds amazing. The carbon tips are also a big plus

AWE claims their exhausts do drone. Although i have no personal experience with it (hell, i don't even have a 6-cyl) this is what I'd get. AWE, slant cut black tips + mid-pipe, on sale right now.

I was pretty set on getting an ATAK but after hearing this video of the AWE, I am gonna have to rethink my choice.

Where is this discount you talk of?

Also, I might as well ask this here, has anyone heard the ATAK and the AWE axelback + midpipe in person? What is the main sound difference?

Thanks for the help

the borla clips sound awesome as well. one of the OP's questions regarded drone at cruise speeds/low rpms. hopefully guys with any aftermarket exhaust which do not drone chime in.

Borla's S-Type reportedly doesn't drone
