how to play mp3 on 2005 bmw m3

hi
does any body know how to play mp3 on 2005 m3 i have nav and single cd
oem system no changer, i would like to keep the sound system stock as much
as posible

The OEM head unit will play an MP3 CD. Otherwise, you can choose to purchase the OEM BMW AUX connection, install it behind the head unit, and have your IPOD connection routed to your glove box or your center console.

i tried out a mp3 cd and it did not play at all in the cd slot which is
behind the nav screen !

Hmmm, interesting. My '05 plays MP3's on disc. If you're running into head unit issues, you could opt for the aux connection that I spoke of earlier.

hi
do u have a 2005 bmw m3 also, mine has cd player behind the nav screen, i tried
a mp3 cd but no chance !
i also dont have a cd changer on mine

Yes! I have the CD changer as well, but I don't use that to play MP3's. Are you sure that the CD that you're using is in mp3 format, not some other code format? The OEM head unit should be able to play MP3 & WMA CD's (..all post 9/04 builds). Take your car to the dealership.
