Post your 0-60mph (/0-62mph/0-100km/h) times (STOCK and MPPSK only)

Post your stock 0-60mph (/0-62mph/0-100km/h) times. A lot of different times and videos out there, hard to know what to believe. So let's try and see where different models and engines end up. Stock (and MPPSK) only in this thread, there already is plenty of info on maps and what is achievable with a tuned 435d xdrive :-).

Use the below format, I'll start.

Model: F33 440i convertible, sDrive, automatic
Conditions: Dry, flat
Mode: Sport mode
Timer: BMW Laptimer app
Time: 5.4s over 0-100km/h (not sure why my app isn't using mph)

I need to have a few more runs, this is on my 1st of only 2 attemps. It's in line with the official figures. I am also getting the MPPSK installed next week so will be interesting to compare. Hopefully I can get closer to 5s

You should be able to get into the 4s with the B58

Perhaps 0-60 (about 0.2s between 0-60 and 62) and with MPPSK, but without the convertible is too heavy. Unless my engine has a lot of loosening up left to do, there is no way it could shave off 0.5s.

Will be interesting to see if anyone else posts some F33 times.

Performance package only adds what like 32hp? Even less to the wheels? That may only shave off 0.1 - 0.2 sec max on a good day IMHO

However, for convertible - which is like 400 pounds heavier 5.4 sec is a very nice time for stock! Not too long ago - that was a M3 time
With very light modding I can see 4.9 sec possible on a vert - IMHO unheard number for verts if you ask me

MPPSK pushes the hp to 360 and torque to 500. Both an increase of just over 10%, and same figures as the engine in the upcoming X3 M40i. Interestingly, that thing weighs the same as the convertible and does 0-60 in 4.6 and 0-62 in 4.8, but with xdrive.

Officially the MPPSK shaves off 0.2s, so 5.2 to 62 and 5.0 to 60. If I can get 5.4s 0-62 without launch control, then 4.9 0-60 with MPPSK might be doable.

For a 4-cyl - it's and amazing what 0-60 times we come by nowadays. I remember 10 years ago to get below 5 sec cars had huge expensive V8 with turbos and it was almost supercars territory. Now......I suspect upcoming G20 4-banger will do 4.x sec 0-60 and it will be a entry level family sedan lol

I did a very lazy 0-100km as I was trying the m Laptimer for the first time.

340i rwd at

No launch and no brake boost. Just rolled off the line gently in comfort then floored it.

Time was 5.2s

Car easily has 4.7 - 4.8s 0-100km/h stock

Switching to 0-60 from 0-62 and the MPPSK will get you down to around 5 seconds, .. so sub 5 seconds will be possible in ideal conditions with the perfect launch.

You mention the x3 M40i has the roughly the same power and weight as your car once you have the MPPSK fitted and does 0-60 in 4.6 with xdrive. For sdrive your looking at an extra 0.3 seconds at least .. so that puts you in the 4.9 ballpark

Joking aside 340i is capable of such times if tuned and modded heavily - so far folks are still trying to crack proper tune for it, but possibilities are there. n54 heavily tuned was capable of 3.5sec and it was many years ago. AFAIK n54 from a fellow e90post member ducky101 did a 1/4 in 10.1sec - just 0.2 short of 9.9! He moved onto different project, but I'm sure high 9s (Bugatti Veyron time lol) were possible with his 335i - which was still a 4 door family sedan lol and a daily driver

I just gave it another try. People will not believe the time I did in this stock 440i convertible. Incredible. Have Laptimer to back it. I'll post when I get home, so do post your guesses so long

What app. I'll try it. I'm actually probably a shitty driver so I'm sure I'll be in the mid 5s

So... I did two runs. First with launch control (for the first time :-) ) and Sports+, but also roof down which shifts some of the weight backward. 5.4s, as before, although the previous time the conditions were not quite as good.

The next run was in Sport, and transmission set to manual. This time the tyres must have been nice and warm as well and the roof was back up. 4.9s, 0-100, that is in a fully specced F33 with half a talk of fuel, so easily 1900kg.

Now I admit the road was slightly downhill, perhaps 1% but certainly no more than 2%. Still absolutely incredible time, and that is 0-100kmh (62mph). Completely stock. Can't wait to see what the MPPSK will add! Sub 5s without slope must be easily achievable.

On my 2014 435i, I would connect it with the lightning cable to my iPhone, with my current 2017 340i, I have the new idrive and it connects by Bluetooth

I remember when MT tested the F30 N55 xdrive with the power kit and it pulled a 4.4 time to 60mph.
