M235i jb+ users. Wondering what PSI your using and for how long and what octane fuel?

Curious how high we can go safely as a daily driver

The DME should protect you if any major knock events are detected. Fuel will play a big role in how much boost you can run. You really need to log the ignition timing via the a obd2 interface and look for radical drops in timing during a WOT pull. Unfortunately it doesn't look like there is a specific pid for knock on these cars to monitor.

If you are going to run anything other than the default it would be better to just upgrade to the jb4 and have the additional control inputs and integrated data logging capability. Without the logs you really don't know how you car is reacting to the added boost. One owners experience could be vastly different than yours based on the variations in the engine and regional fuel quality. There is some comfort in the fact that burger did a lot of testing with the default setting which is why it should be "safe" in most applications.

Thanks guys! Can I do any logging with the torque android app and Bluetooth obd2? Or is that not sufficient.

I will be drag stripping it today as well tho so maybe I can log during that time

I believe torque can log the standard obd2. Unfortunately you won't be able to log or monitor actually boost as it is fooled by the jb+. I would log ign 1 and your fuel trims. You can log the o2 sensors as well but will have to convert the voltage afr.

Never tried it but dont think you will be able to see actual boost.

JB stage 1 has boost logging capability
