Dynojet difficulties - 340xi
Hi all -
Tried to attempt a dyno run today of my 340xi and did not succeed. The car is an 8AT with track handling pack and M performance pack + dynamic handling. We followed this procedure several times: * Put chassis in Sport mode * Hold down on the DSC button for 10 seconds until DSC disabled light illuminated on the dash * Car would put itself back into Comfort mode (as expected) When trying to start the run, the steering felt like it was binding up on its own and the car was applying the brakes in an attempt to stop itself from moving. The dynojet rollers are not linked -- they're independent. Any ideas on what could be causing this? Thank you |

Id say DCT OFF, paddle shift to M1 then continue. Dyno operator should be familiar with the process. PM guys who already dyno (see B58 engine section) or call shops who running bmw on dyno daily

Yeah, we tried DSC off and Drive Sport mode as well, but the car kept nabbing the brakes on its own.
I called Dinan Engineering while there and they said it sounded like I was doing everything properly. If there's no technical issues with the car, I suppose the only option is a different dyno |
