Brake pads help!!

Im in need off a little help. Can i put original brake pads on m performance brakes??

Its just temporary i need to replace them quick.

Do you mean "original brake pads" as in OEM parts, or pads from the standard brakes that come on models without the M performance brakes?

If the first, then yes, OEM pads are ok. They will give exactly the feel you are used to, but you can get better for less money probably...

If the second, then no. Being that they are different sizes, the parts from standard brakes to M performance brakes are not interchangeable.

You should replace rotors with brake pads. Some will say this is not necessary, but I strongly disagree based on several factors and my past experience. Good quality rotors are very important.

Why can you not purchase the correct pads for the brakes you have? If they won't fit in the calipers, then they're useless. I have M-Sport brakes on my 2013 335i and just replaced the pads with Cool Carbon units and I ordered the correct kits for the front and rear brakes that came with my car. Cost is not much different, but buying the wrong pads won't save you anything.
