Early Service Policy

My factory warranty is expiring at end of October. Car service reminder showing that I have Oil change, vehicle check and brake fluid service due on 01/18. Question is can the dealer be able to perform these service if I take the car just before the warranty expired on 10/17?

I was not sure what is the policy on how soon they can do the service.

As far as miles are considered I still have around 7K miles left and by Oct I will still be off by 2K miles for my oil change service. Not sure if that will work.

Thanks

first of all, oil change, vehicle check, and brake fluid service would be covered under your MAINTENANCE plan, not warranty
so make sure to check your maintenance plan expiration date

and i've had a dealership change my oil about 6-7,000 miles early
i don't even know why, i didn't request it
but the service advisor did it
so go ahead and ask for it

also, you can drive like a maniac for the next few months with a heavy foot if you want to bring that service indicator mileage down and get service earlier

What do you mean by maintenance plan? I thought first 4 year everything covered and after that if you purchase maintenance plan then they do cover these items out of factory warranty.

I hope to be within 2000 miles of my oil change but other 2 services are based on time only so not sure if they can do it 3 months early

Depends on the year of your car. MY17 and later it's 3 years 36k and doesn't cover wear and tear items like brake pads and wiper blades. Warranty is still 4 years 50k. This is in the U S

Your car came with two coverages. A 4yr/50k mile warranty that covers manufacturing defects and a 4yr/50k mile maintenance plan that covers virtually all maintenance. They operate side by side, but they're two different things. The brake fluid flush is strictly time based, so if the next flush is scheduled for January 2018 you probably won't be able to get that covered. For model year 2014 the flush is every twenty four months from the date the car was built. You can check the exact date your car was built here - www.bimmer.work - using the last seven characters of the VIN.
