Just had ACS springs fitted in my 320iSE sDrive!

Popped into AC Schnitzer HQ in Dersingham and then Autoleys in Kings Lynn. (Had a very nice sunny day out in Sandringham whilst waiting).

Well worth the effort - the springs have transformed the standard SE car from a soft, wallowy, portly sea mammal to an almost sprightly beast. It's now much more reminiscent of my previous experience with the E90 and E46 325i.
Yes, the ride is a bit firmer now, but not uncomfortably so, and I do appreciate being able to feel what the wheels are doing.

You know what - I wouldn't recommend the SE suspension to most people, it's only good if you like comfortably cruising on fast, long swooping A-roads.
On many occasions, white van drivers have out-run my car on narrow, twisty, undulating B-roads!

Can't wait till Lorcan gets some dampers in stock, for the next upgrade. Funny how this forum drains your wallet rather quickly.....

So they can replace the standard ones for an even better drive?

Yes, their sports suspension, if you already have the springs you can roughly subtract their cost from the full package:

http://shop.ac-schnitzer.co.uk/sport...f30-2135-p.asp

Although a set of Bilstein B8's will be about half the price.

Yup!

From what I've heard the bang for buck is nowhere near as good as just the springs though.

Got ACS springs on my F31 M-Sport. IMHO the car is now under-damped. I'd like to upgrade the dampers too. It's over £1k though....

Are the B8s really a good-enough alternative?
