What did they expect using Italian parts?

Kidding aside, maybe they can just end MY17 and push those orders to MY18. Most folks probably wouldn't mind, even with the price increase.

I put my order in March and th dealer still doesn't have a delivery date. You're right - I wouldn't mind this, but I'm good either way.

Looks like it may not all be bad news for prospective M2 owners:

“A missing part — even if only a small one, as in this case — can have a major impact,” said Markus Duesmann, BMW board member overseeing purchasing and supplies. He said “only limited production” of BMW 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-Series cars is possible and that BMW expects Bosch to compensate for damages."
