335d order placed

Hi all placed an order for a 335d M sport x drive on Monday. It's now in code 5055 does that mean it's been built as we speak? If that's the case it's a lot quicker than my last car.

I have ordered the car in Mineral Grey with the red interior, sat nav, heated seats and the black panel display. The spec standard does seem quiet good, I'm surprised there isn't more on the road I managed to get the car for less than a 320d.

Looking forward to the car I currently have a 318d so it's double the power. Hopefully it's a lot smoother to drive with the auto box.
Has anyone got any tips on what needs to be checked when I pick up the car. Can anyone recommend any products to protect the paintwork?

Does the service pack cover the 2nd service I thought these lasted for 5 years.

Thanks

Service pack is three years /36,000 miles now. If you just do motorway miles then it is just a very expensive oil service. If you thrash it around town then you'll get an oil service and a regular one, assuming you do enough miles.

Very good idea to post on here after the car is built as you 'll have saved a small fortune!

5055 means the order is locked down so can't be changed. Its likely to be built in the next 2 weeks or so. You can check the progress with the online genius.

Congrats on the order by the way.

Fingers crossed I have only driven a 330d and that was fast enough! I originally looked at that but there was nothing in the price between them.

it's not your fingers you'll need to cross. When you feel the full force of a all of that power you'll piss yourself, so get your legs crossed.

I did the same thing drive a 330d and ordered an xdrive then got talked into a 335xd by the forum.

Never looked back or regretted the choice.

It's got more thump and is a lot more linear.

Wise choice.

Great news Damien1984! I'm in your shoes (we near enough). I have specked the 335D up got a cracking deal online and meeting the dealer next week to test drive and try and squeeze a little more out of them.

Do you have an build time? I'm looking at 18 weeks.

Really looking forward to it now, the dealer has said I should have the car towards the end of June. Hey said they had a build slot they could use for me. The car was ordered this week I was expecting a 3 months wait.

I went from a 325d (E90 manual) to a 335d (F30).
Frankly, I'm that thrilled, I still have the 325.
I'm hoping the 335 will grow on me... (Done 2500miles).

I hope you have a better experience.
(if your 320 was an auto, ignore this..)
