Hey guys,

Just bought this car earlier in the week but as i've mentioned before i pretty much signed the paperwork then had to shoot off to Cyprus with the military so had to get my parents to pick it up for me.

Anyhow whilst looking through pics of the car in my excitement to get back and drive it i've noticed purple bits around the foglights. Just thought it looks a little strange to me and wondered if anyone else's is or was like that.

Is the any other part in that colour ?

If not , then these must have been replaced or some stupid painted them purple

You can get them painted easily though .

No other purple parts that i can see but it does look strange and dont see why someone would purposely want them like that.

Some of these super white halogen bulbs have a purple blue hint to them

Is it a sport? My mate bought one last month and his has the exact same problem when I saw the car I was like Ye it's lovely but whys it got blue fog light grilles:

Had exactly the same on a 62 plate F30 Sport. They should be high gloss black.

They either go like that in the sunlight or it's some cleaning products that affect them. Either way, my dealer replaced them under warranty.

Yer its a sport pal, it seems its the paint fading from what ive read. I got 12 months warranty when i bought the car from williams so hopefully get the part replaced with it since thats what others have done.
