water on back seat...removal on a F31

Morning.... missis just dropped kids to skool and little one's water bottle leaked its entire content on the back seat. Is there a way of lifting the back bottom seats and letting it dry out..as i need to relay this to the wife

cheers

Yup. From memory the squab should just pull up with a firm tug. You then pass the belt fixings through the gaps and it'll come away.

I can't remember exactly how it comes out. But it was really easy on my previous F30. As above I think it was a tool-less job.

I dropped an isofix cover into the seat and after much fiddly ratching down the hole I think I lost the plot and pulled at the seat. It came away surprisingly easily. Pull up and forwards I think.

The F30 was folding seats like found in the F31.

Why not just turn the heat on max or put in a small air heater for a while ??

To lift the back seat, just pull directly up from the "join" of seat to carpet directly behind the mid point of each front seat. There's one clip either side of the back seat, on the forward most edge, or at least there is on my 2013 F31.

If you want to get the back seat out of the car you'll need to disconnect the middle seat seatbelt at the end under the seat.

If you just want to lift it to get some air moving, plug the seatbelts into the sockets before lifting so you can use them to pull the sockets back through the seats when its time to refit.
