Wife meets Kerb!

Last night the wife borrows my car to go to her mates for a quick visit.

This morning i see the results, of course she denies all knowledge, don't you love them.

Was not done yesterday when i washed it, and pity I had the dash cam in the house for downloading last night.

Totally smashed of the centre bracket, need to remove this afternoon as hanging off, and order another one.

Any ideas on removing? or just pull if off, after drilling out holding studs.

I'd get a good solicitor and a solid alibi first. I'd try an acid bath or pigs.

Ah I see. Prob drill out the studs....

That's why the wife isn't on the insurance, to avoid disputes over damage!

Must admit, if my Mrs did this I wouldn't mind whatsoever. It's life and I love her, for some reason.

If she did it and didn't cough up I would be the complete opposite.

Not slating your Mrs - she may not have realised. But at the least you deserve a bank holiday blowie.

To be fair to your missus, the M-Sport front end is low enough already even before you put a splitter on it. Very easy to scrape a kerb - though you would definitely hear it.

Ouch, I hope it's a replica?

Should be held on by reusable plastic rivets isn't it?

Hi, luckily ebay special.

Should have guessed last night when she said it was "difficult" to park at her mates and it took three attempts!

It ripped most of the pop rivits off & centre screws. mainly being held on with the side screws.

Its off now, tape did not leave to much mess, no paintwork damage. Just got to decide which one to replace with.

Have heard recent bad stories to the one i purchased, which to be honest was a good fit.

Hopefully will be a interesting night......

Totally agree, accidents happen but not saying sorry and admitting liability is what would really wind me up.

Surely you would head the damage being caused

My wife asked if she could borrow my car yesterday to go out with a friend for the day, took me all of 1 second to think about it

Her disappointment was short lived as I diverted her attention by eating her one and only Easter egg

I'd be mad she didn't own up!! I'd be taking it to a body repair centre and she can bloody pay for it!

See...this is why they make high SUV's with cameras!

Oh that's bad and I bet it was painful to look at it

My sweet Mrs went and hit back bumper to rail and damaged rear bumper corner, brand new dual diffuser and hit CF exhaust tips which I only fitted few weeks back ,...I got reply when I asked that I should have left car standard why MOD it

I just laughed it off nothing much can do

this is why ford fiesta is for my wife and me and my f30 for me only!

We recently purchased ISO fix 1-4 year old baby chair, £250 and it naturally went into my car as its bigger, it is difficult to relocate it from my to hers so this means she could start driving my car (red alert!) i then run very quick calculations in my head and concluded that it is still cheaper if i buy second one for £250 and fit into her car so we can carry one driving our cars separately (most importantly mine).

Body, alloy and tyre damage, kerbed is gonna cost more than £250 to sort!!

F'king unaware women do my head in! Do none of them have the ability to admit fault or apologise from time to time? My wife is the same with her wheels!

Best of luck with the divorce!

I fair to assume she didn't know she did it. Picture the scene. Driving into a space, while checking make-up with music loud enough to make you ears bleed.

Ouch. My wife kerbed our wheel when leaving the forecourt when we bought it. And they are 624m wheels! I was in the other car, so I didn't notice.

It was dark when we got home, but I still noticed it. She owned up, but I don't know if she would have if I didn't notice.

She was really worried I was going to shout at her or something, but accidents happen and she's not a bad driver.
