Wynns? Forte? BG244?

Anyone tried anything?

Curious.

I use V Power every tank! It is expensive stuff but feels good knowing that hopefully the car isnt getting clogged up on crap fuel......yes i know this will start a debate but it only works out a few £'s more per tank so why would you not??

Then that's all you need, it has cleaning additives in it. You only actually need to use it every 3 or 4 tanks to keep the fuel system clean.

I use BP Ultimate Diesel every tank. It has a lower sulfur content than Shell V Power Diesel so your dpf doesn't block as fast.
Forte is an excellent additive, i use different fuel additives regularly for dpf & injectors etc...
I have just ordered 4 genuine Bmw Diesel Fuel additive at £8

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2629380069...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

So im going to give that a try.

Good find, didnt know BMW had such product. any info on the instructions, dosage and intervals?

I used RedX Advanced for first ever use on the engine then it is suggesting to buy normal one every 5k miles - that was plan to continue and with occasional V Power refuel.

even Tesco i seen do £2 a bottle but Advanced is always price fixed, only Halfords, £16.99 but idea is you only use it once at start.

Look forward to your feedback, let me know how it smells too

BG244 or Archoil 6400-d are two of the best diesel fuel system cleaners. Simple add to a near empty tank then try to make the tank last as long as possible. When you get down to a 1/4 tank refill and drive normally.
No additive that you add to fuel will help clean the turbo though as the build is on the exhaust side. Various methods of cleaning the turbo but usually require strip and clean or something as crude as Mr Muscle oven cleaner sprayed into the exhaust side which on most cars requires drilling a hole in the manifold to introduce the cleaner then tapping it to plug with a bolt afterwards.

I had a blocked egr in my Cmax, it sounded like I had a dump valve and was really jerky.

I used Wynns Xtreme Diesel System Cleaner and Wynn's Diesel EGR Valve Cleaner together and the car runs fine now.

Received the Bmw Diesel Additive today and put it in the tank. It comes in a small 100ml Tin. 1 tin is for 45-75 litres of fuel. For £8 inc free P&P you cannot go wrong.
I ordered 4.
You unscrew the top and it has a spout which you screw onto it and you can easily pour it into your tank.
It smells like Diesel Redex tbh.
Here is the link if you want it: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2629380069...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I used Forte dpf cleaner in of all things my Smart ForTwo diesel after many short commutes. After a couple of decent journeys the car stunk outside when I stopped so something was working !

MPG went up massively - from 35mpg ... (v poor) to about 50mpg (good for the car with my driving).

As far as I am concerned it works. Not sure what is in it but it worked on my car.
