San Marino colour
Just wanted to see if this was correct.
My boss is looking to order new 440 convertible. He has asked me to spec it for him! The San Marino blue option doesn't come up on line, but dealer is telling me it's a factory option if you state it at time if order. It takes an extra 3 months to get a build slot, but that's not a problem! He now has his hopes up he can get it in this colour. He saw one at dealers and it looks great! Picture attached. Does anybody know if it is correct that you can get this in non M cars? Thanks Last edited by Rbrown; 04-14-2017 at 08:14 AM.. |

Yes. You can order San Marino. About £1600iirc, so about twice the price of the standard individual colours. Looks great if he wants to go down the individual route it's probably best to talk to the dealer as there are quite a few options available colour wise.

It really is a lovely colour, especially when combined with light coloured interior. It does seem a lot of money for 'just a colour', but the paint job on the individual paints is so much better than the standard paint line finish.

That sounds more reasonable than some of the other numbers being quoted (£3k plus VAT is just bonkers IMO!). Were you offered it at that price or did you have to do some serious haggling to get it down to that figure?!

Paid £845 for tanz blue, which to me is reasonable certainly wouldn't pay 2k for an individual colour.Although smb is probably one of the best individual colours available.

As SMB is in the BMW paint system cost won't be as high as a Full Individual colour. I have the price on our internal system, but am not back in until Wednesday. We have a 440i f32 that has just come into stock, currently having MPPK and MPerformance kit fitted. Will be a real head turner in the showroom.

I'm already on record as saying that Daftasabrush's SMB is my favourite car on here.
If you want to totally indulge in SMB this thread http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=953954 has links to a further 16 SMB cars.
