Ceramic Coating Shops in Tampa Area

Hello fellow Floridians!

I have recently purchased an F80 and have been reading up on the latest paint treatments and am seriously considering getting a ceramic coating applied, as I would love not having to wax the car every 3 months!

I am looking at an OptiCoat Pro application, or similiar product, and I was hoping that someone might be able to recommend any good shops in the area that do this, but also don't charge an arm and a leg.

Just basic Google searches has led to companies charging $1500+ just for the car, and I was wanting to get the wheels done as well so they were quoting north of $2K!! I know a lot of the cost is paint prep, but the car only has 15K on it and the paint seems to be in excellent shape, so I don't expect too much prep would be needed.

If any of you can shoot me any referrals of shops you know of that would be really appreciated.

TIA folks!

I don't know your situation, but I would recommend that you do the work yourself and save some serious cash. Having your car opti-coated or ceramic coated with a 9H setup truly isn't difficult; just time consuming. With the right car care product and a weekend, you can do it!

With Opticoat pro/pro+ only a dealer can apply it. I am looking at the higher end coatings that will last for quite a while. Don't want to have to have it redone every 2-3 years. Plus I really don't have the time. I used to when I was younger, but not now.

You on any local facebook BMW groups? I'd say I would do it but I don't have a lot of time and have a bad back/hip so yeah getting old sucks.

Nope, I usually stick to forums. I guess I'm old school. I found a place in Sarasota that is mobile and willing to come up to Tampa. Price is a little better as well. So most likely going to go with them.
