Question Google Send to Car Issues

Is anyone else having issues with Google send to car? It's not been working for me for the last 3 days. Only 8 months old so not an issue with subscription etc.

Its really hit an miss. So i have to do it via the remote app. Thats the only way i got it to work.

Tried a few times straight from google and never got it to work so just use the app which works fine in that respect.

I always seem to have problems with Google send to car.

The new BMW app is useless as you can't drop a pin - very useful if you want to navigate to an exact location (i.e.campsite entrance at Le Mans).

The older (based on google maps) BMW Routes website is the only way I've found to do this recently.

the BMW app on my htc10 Android phone is totally broken, crashes on start. prior to that send to car used to work great. I just bother concierge more now!

When I was having problems sending destinations from the Google maps website, the "Update BMW Services" trick described in this post did the trick for me.

I've also had problems with the rubbish new app. I recently had to drive from Hampshire to Lincolnshire for a funeral. Sent the destination via the app, it didn't arrive, so had to enter it whilst in the car. The message finally arrived when I was on my way home. It took longer for the message to arrive than for me to drive there!!

I had problems getting RTTI to work after I renewed the subs. I tried updating as suggested here and it now works again - thanks for the tip.

Pleased it worked for everyone. Good to get a few posts up about the problem, so that when the next person googles it, they might find the answer a bit more easily
