Approx cost of 4 series GC front bumper

Hi,
Someone reversed into my MY2017 4 series GC I may need a new front bumper.
Has anyone got an idea of the part cost? Would it come prepainted or is that extra?
Thanks in advance.

I know the F30 rear bumper is around £500 so 4 series front one must be at least £800 I would have thought.

IIRC I got quoted £600 for an F33 front bumper including painting and fitting. It will largely depend on whether you get it done by a dealer or a bodyshop.

TPO plastic weld if it is cracked or even if it has a chunk missing. Bumpers can be blow moulded back to shape with heat as well. Before you scrap it upload a photo so we can advise on whether it can be repaired or not.

Thanks - all it was is a scuff and score, midfle of the bumper but mainly under the number plate - body shop initially quoted £75 a £100 with touch up paint and to buff it out and new plate.
Collecting tomorrow with now a recommendation for a new bumper, haven't heard the full story as to why.

It's a lease car so it should be pristine. Little old lady reversed into it and she knows the quote, she was going to pay and not go through insurer, not looking forward to telling her the latest!

It would have been a good idea to keep her up to date on her options. Hopefully she will bite the bullet. Some garages often take the replacement no repair stance. They think the bumper has been compromised in some way. Dare I say some are looking for more money.

I had an elderly neighbor reverse into my car when parked on the drive. I felt so bad so I wrote to her. She avoided me for days as she felt bad. In the end she paid and gave her license back to the DVLA. She declared she had cataracts that were too far gone for repair.

The comment about the cataracts is interesting as it suggests the lady did not routinely go to an opticians. Cataracts are a clouding of the lens in the eye and untreated can lead to loss of sight. The treatment however is the complete removal of the lens, replacing it with an artificial one. For the majority of patients this returns their distance sight to a higher standard than that which is required by the DVLA (without having to wear glasses). My father has just had both eyes done and from actually avoiding driving because of his sight he now has no problems at all. If you're still in contact with this person I'd suggest recommending her to visit an optician who can make the necessary referral, it could massively improve her quality of life.

We spoke briefly after and she informed me that she had some appointments with Moorfield's but they could not help her further. I don't know the ins and outs. I moved from the area and did not keep in touch with her but at the time I was quite supportive as my grandfather had his removed and was so happy with his 20/20 vision.

Probably not just cataracts if she'd been to Moorfields and they couldn't help.

There are a few bumpers on ebay. It may be cheaper to buy one of those and respray, rather than brand new?
