Hi all,

Have lurked for a while, finally decided to register now I have something worthwhile to ask!

Incoming sapphire black 440i LCI coupe and I'm looking for some M Performance bits to add for delivery:

Black grills
Rear boot lid spoiler

Also looking to get black exhaust tips without the MPPSK as it unfortunately adds too much to my insurance premium - any suggestions?

Who/where is the best place to source this lot from please? Is it best to buy OEM or are there better alternatives?

Why would the muffler add to ins premium? And why even tell them?

As far as I understand you must fit the M performance exhaust in order to get the M performance carbon tips. The M performance exhaust adds ~25bhp, hence the increase.

Not telling insurance isn't an option

25hp from a muffler...you sure about that? On all other models the muffler is purely for sound. Also, you can check here

And at least on the f30 335 you could get factory black (I may do that myself)

Hopefully someone will correct me and point me in the direction of the correct part, but I'm pretty sure it's a full system, not just the muffler.

Ahh far far away haha. No worries! And I realized you said mppSk, that makes sense as that it includes the tune and the muffler.

You could in fact, just get the m performance muffler and enjoy the extra sound while not increasing power. Just a thought.

Sounds like it's possible to get the back bit + carbon tips without the tuning, anyone?

Yeah you can get just the M Performance exhaust which is an axle back/backbox. Around £800 with chrome tips and £950 (I believe) with carbon tips. Someone who has bought one will hopefully confirm the correct price for you.

Yeah I can confirm. Bought my backbox with chrome tips from BMW Cotswold for £750 inc fitting. I chose to do it myself as they were too far so they delivered for free, so £750 delivered. No HP gain either but sounds like a beast!
