Someone with HUD & LDW please?

I've just managed to code LDW (Lane Departure Warning) successfully, it vibrates the steering wheel and shows the display between the dials, but not in the HUD.

Could someone with both from factory tell me if that's right please?

Got both as factory options, it doesn't show in the HUD.

How did you code this and did you fit the vibrator module?

How do you code this and what other bits/options do you need?

If you have speed limit display and heated steering wheel then you should just be able to add 5AD to the FA and VO code Fem, Kafas2, ICM & Kombi

If you don't have heated steering wheel you might need the steering wheel vibrator, which I have for sale here:

I didn't think my wheel would already have one in it as my car has nothing from factory that uses it!

Do you get a flashing triangular warning symbol on the exterior mirrors?

I think it does more than just vibrate the steering wheel.

That's not lane departure warning, that's active blind spot detection.

I have speed limit display but not heated wheel. Is there an easy way to check if I need vibrator without pulling the car apart

Only by coding LDW and seeing if it works.

Or it is very easy to open the steering wheel, just disconnect battery neg terminal, stick a screwdriver in the holes either side of the airbag to remove it, then 3 t20 torx screws and the front cover comes off.

P.S. Do not close bootlid with battery disconnected, I did and feck knows what I would have done if I didn't have rear seat passthrough/folding seats!

How do you turn it on and off? Fit the button to the dash?

I have both as factory options. Only use LDW on motorways. Never use it on A roads as if you straighten a corner slightly it obviously doesn't like it.

Oh yes, you have to code in Kafas2

3020 TLC_CODING, 0B => TLC_START_VERSION => 01 = UNKNOWN

By altering the hex value

Doesn't bother if it goes off on A roads as there's no annoying sound with it.

I grew to hate the LDW on my 2er and you've not only installed it but denied yourself the ability to turn it off.

I give it a month before you reverse the coding.

What's to hate? The vibrating isn't intrusive at all
