Which trim with Saddle Brown?

Hey all, I'm gonna order Tanzanite & Saddle Brown 340i this week. Finally found an acceptable deal.

Last thing I gotta decide is the trim...

I've got Brushed Aluminum & Black high-gloss accent now with CR interior and like it. But should I go with one of the wood type trims instead to better match the SB? The wood trims seem kinda plastic /cheap looking to me. Anyone have Anthracite, Ash Grain or Burl Walnut and hate it? Or love it?

What would look best with SB?

Why am I agonizing over this?? It's my first order! Help?!

I have anthracite trim with saddle interior and it's actually a pretty nice combo. I don't find the wood trim to look cheap at all and the anthracite is different and compliments the saddle well IMO.

I would go with Ash or Anthracite. Those two do not look cheap. I have anthracite and it is very dark and very straight grain. The ash has more character and more light/dark variation. These would be my choices over anything else. The silver looks cheap with any interior color except red. I had it many years ago and grew tired of it quickly.

I'm the guy that will always say wood does not belong in a 3 series.

Not a fan of the wood look in an interior, so anthracite fits the bill quite well.

Thanks all! If anyone has pictures of Anthracite or Ash with SB, I'd appreciate it.

Garage List
I have Ash trim with SB in my 340. I had the brushed aluminum in my previous car, but it just didn't look right to me with SB. There are a couple zoomable pictures of the interior in this album, including one of the center console. They are in direct sunlight, so they're a bit brighter than how it appears in real life. However, I think the Ash is a good complement for SB and I like that the silver inlay adds something the other trim options don't offer.

Looks good! Unfortunately, that is not a current choice in the states...

If I was staying with CR, that carbon wrap is perfect! Not feeling it with SB, though.

I have saddle with anthracite on my new used 335 and I hate it. At first I thought I could tolerate it but now I think it sort of looks greenish next to the brown saddle. Im going to replace it with the m performance first chance I get.

I have Anthracite and saddle brown and love it. I prefer Anthracite because it doesn't look all grainy and old fashioned.

I was in exactly your position and lots of helpful people posted pics or links to pics for me! I decided the fine line anthracite looked great with saddle (don't like the inlay on the ash grain) and I'm very pleased with it! Although it is a wood effect it's extremely subtle and pretty dark. You only really see the grain when direct sunlight hits it! I find the piano black too stark but some people like it! One other tip, you get the pearl chrome edge finisher with anthracite which looks far better next to the saddle door panel than the gloss black finisher which comes on the aluminium trim (in my opinion) and it breaks up the black door card topper and the saddle centre panel really nicely!

Just ordered a 2017 340i. Does anyone know how the nav maps are updated? First time I'm on the site.
