Which trim with Saddle Brown?
Hey all, I'm gonna order Tanzanite & Saddle Brown 340i this week. Finally found an acceptable deal.
Last thing I gotta decide is the trim... I've got Brushed Aluminum & Black high-gloss accent now with CR interior and like it. But should I go with one of the wood type trims instead to better match the SB? The wood trims seem kinda plastic /cheap looking to me. Anyone have Anthracite, Ash Grain or Burl Walnut and hate it? Or love it? What would look best with SB? Why am I agonizing over this?? It's my first order! Help?! |

I have anthracite trim with saddle interior and it's actually a pretty nice combo. I don't find the wood trim to look cheap at all and the anthracite is different and compliments the saddle well IMO.

I would go with Ash or Anthracite. Those two do not look cheap. I have anthracite and it is very dark and very straight grain. The ash has more character and more light/dark variation. These would be my choices over anything else. The silver looks cheap with any interior color except red. I had it many years ago and grew tired of it quickly.

I'm the guy that will always say wood does not belong in a 3 series.

I have Ash trim with SB in my 340. I had the brushed aluminum in my previous car, but it just didn't look right to me with SB. There are a couple zoomable pictures of the interior in this album, including one of the center console. They are in direct sunlight, so they're a bit brighter than how it appears in real life. However, I think the Ash is a good complement for SB and I like that the silver inlay adds something the other trim options don't offer.

I have saddle with anthracite on my new used 335 and I hate it. At first I thought I could tolerate it but now I think it sort of looks greenish next to the brown saddle. Im going to replace it with the m performance first chance I get.
