Thumbs down Thank you....

To the nice person that reversed into my car and drove off yesterday.

I hope you suffered more damage than me. Maybe you should invest in some more driving lessons.

That's all three cars that need paint repair following hit and runs now

I already have a smart repair booked for the 17th April to fix the wife's Fiesta ST (front bumper) and my Caterham (rear wheel arch) which both suffered hit and runs in the past few weeks. Maybe I can negotiate a 3 for the price of 2 deal.

Maybe fitting CCTV aimed at your cars if possible? I'd be pissed too

The damage has been caused in car parks, never outside the house. Could get a dashcam but would need front and rear coverage. It's not really an option on the Caterham.

Dashcam recommendations welcome.

That sucks. I'm thinking of the Thinkware F770 F&R for this reason. Anyone have any experience?

The irony is my wife had her car door caught by a gust of wind and it slammed into the car next to us. We left details and paid for the repair. The other driver was surprised and delighted we owned up.

The very next day someone left a huge scratch in her front bumper and did a runner. Grrrrr.

Garage List
Dirty sods.

Hear this too often

Def go for a dash cam with parking function -needs to be hard wired in with power management so it preserves the battery - the power sockets go dead after a few mins.

Worth checking if any cctv in the area ?

So, do you think it was a member on here that did it?

That is some bad luck though. Hope its not too expensive to fix.

Bad luck!

Know how you feel. Took wife's F15 to a retail park yesterday. My usual "acceptable" spaces all full. Resorted to end of row furthest from stores. Some twat left a massive ding in front passenger door which suggests it was the batter car still parked next to us. We were not there long so it's unlikely another car came and went in same space. I know for a fact it wasn't there as I'd only washed car for her that morning.

What can you do? No witnesses no evidence. I suppose I could have hung around waited for the owner and bluffed it and said someone saw them do it and left me a note see if they crumbled and blabbed but if they stuck to their guns still sod all you can do.

Like you I just drove home cursing under my breath (kids in car).

Local dent guy coming around Wednesday to sort it. Still boils my piss though.

I'm sure the fine, upstanding people here wouldn't do such a thing. Just needed a place to vent my spleen. Only got 2,500 miles under the wheels

Sorry to hear about your bad luck!

You sure it's not the way you're parking ... just kidding.

Re Dashcams, I have the older F750 front/rear set up in our Merc and it's brilliant - it's running the F770 software too. Built in battery power maintenance so not to drain when parked and an easy to use app to view footage and set up. Added bonus of sped camera alerts too.

F770 would be my choice if looking at the moment.

Feel your pain bud, this is exactly why I take the halfs car when we go to the retail stores / parks .She thinks I'm of my trolley because of this saying "what's the point in having a nice car if your not going to drive it anywhere " lol.Unfortunatley there's to many careless cockheads out there in their shit buckets that don't give a toss about other people's property
