Audi buying Silver car -- interesting way to give potential buyers experience

This way Audi sells a ton of 4 series cars and gets drivers to try them as daily rentals. An intersting way to increase sales and spread out overhead and development costs. I wonder if BMW will ever enter into a similar arrangement.

Never heard of them but if they have competitive prices, I will use them next time I travel.

Good idea by Audi. Also, now they can piggyback off SilverCar's stellar reputation.

I used one of their first time renter specials and rented an A4 through them at LAX for less than the cheapest economy car I could get from the lowest priced budget renters. It was awesome. I don't think they do the airport pickup and dropoff anymore, but it was extremely nice.

I did the same thing in Chicago in July. Great deal (especially with the first time renter discount) and a chance to really drive an A4 for three days. If BMW or MB did the same thing there would be a real chance to actively compare based on our own needs and desires.

Neat. Hopefully it grows and becomes available in more places, like Zipcar and the like. Wish BMW would get on board too.

Nice I used silvercar when I was in Miami, drove it the keys and back, cost $50 for two days

I almost took a 70 Whp cut just because I was so impressed with the A4 after renting a silvercar in Denver for my last ski trip. As soon as the B9 S4's get down to the 30's with a CPO i'll be trading in my car.
