Full exhaust versus just muffler

Curious why people go with a full exhaust with tubing and muffler and all instead of just buying the muffler you like and having a shop install it?
And instead of buying a catted pipe just buy a hickory car and have it installed

Have you seen the full OEM exhaust?

It's flat and heavy and most of the time rusted, also axleback, you`re going to have to cut and weld the new one on.

Full exhaust system, you can normally just clamp them on, and has a better flow overall, made of better quality metal and pretty much lighter.

it depends on the car in question, but BMW's have a good exhaust system from the factory.

i see you have an e90 which has secondary cats so if you delete those and install a new muffler, you got yourself a good flowing exhaust.

but ideally for a turbo engine you want a downpipe with the rest of the exhaust stock. quiet when cruising, loud on throttle.
