Scratch repair

Not even 3,000 miles on my 240 and someone already scratched the front bumper! Looks like some idiot may have hit it with a shopping cart.

The scratch is about an inch long and deep enough to have removed the paint entirely. Are there any good options other than going to the dealer? I'm sure they'll charge a fortune.

Can I fix it myself or will that look terrible?

fill with a couple of coats of touch up primer on a toothpick, you just let it flow in, if it looks off wipe with rubbing alcohol before it drys then do it again, give that week or so to dry completely and add another coat, wait another week and use the touch up paint to flow in same way,may take a few coats, there are some other methods that work well and some products but they cost a few bucks.

Try Dr. Color Chip. Otherwise if it was indeed a shopping cart the store will sometimes pay for the repair. Wegmans did for me at least.
