Fog light retrofit on 2014 , need help.

I'm picking up today a some what loaded certified 2014 6mt , xdrive MSport . The car has every option except fog lights.
My questions are the following, are cars prewired for fog light installation if the customer wants them?
The current MSport 2017 brings fog lights and the Front fascia and bumper are identical ,will they fit?.... They have the honeycombs inserts fogs. Thank you, picking up the car at 10:30 am eastern time.

A foggy night
in London town
I couldn't see
anything around
I'd pulled my lights
so that I'd look cool
but now I've hit a curb
I guess I'm the fool..

There may be wiring for fogs in place, using one wiring harness for all versions is a common practice. You'd have to pull the wheel well liner to find out. But there's also the matter of the switch. The wiring for that may also be there, you'd have to pull the switch plate to find out.

Not sure which model you have, but on my 435i M Sport the fog lights were not installed because there are radiators in the openings where the fog lights go and the fog lights would block the air flow.

BTW, if there's no wiring there I'd use the low beam wiring to activate a relay connected to the fuse box to supply the fogs with juice, so that when the low beams are on so are the fogs. I always run my fogs, if there was a way to get them to automatically be on with the lows I'd use it.

You may want to check local laws. Many places require you to treat them like high beams. Which means you need to turn them down/off if following someone or meeting someone. Not to mention that if someone approaching you runs into you or off the road, you may be held to be at fault because you failed to lower your beams. Similar to if you had your high beams on with on-coming traffic.

IMO that makes no sense, as fogs are aimed lower than low beams. But one shouldn't expect laws to make sense.
