To do before the warranty ends in Cambridgeshire UK
Hi
I bought a BMW Approved F30 330d M Sport Plus RWD last year and it's 3 years’ warranty from new will expire in May 2017. The car came with an additional 2 years BMW warranty but I would like to get the car inspected to identify potential issues before it becomes 3 years old and if there is anything wrong get it addressed by BMW within the first 3 years. Would it be better to get this done at a main dealer or an independent specialist? If specialist would be better then could you recommend a good one in Cambridgeshire UK, that can do such a check for me, please? Also, please let me know if there is anything worth doing in particular before the car becomes 3 years old. Cheers |

You can book it in for an 'end of warranty' check with a dealer. They might charge, but most don't.
However, if you took out an additional 2 year BMW AUC warranty, it's debatable if it's worth doing. |

Any faults they find, they get paid for fixing by BMW. So it is in the dealer's interest to find items that are not working.
When my F31 was just about to hit 3 years old I had it in, and they found one of the horns (the car has 2) was not working. Fixed under the warranty. |
