Mounting 18" OEM tires from M235i on 435i

Hello, would these fit my 435i? All tire configurators I've used say no, but the seller says yes.

At the moment I have 20" OEM forged wheels, with the following tire sizes:

225/35/20
255/30/20

The M235 tire sizes are:

225/40/18
245/35/18

Just to clarify, this is a complete swap, tire + rim not just the tires.

They should fit. Compared to your current wheels:

The inner edge of the M235i front wheel will be 3mm closer to the suspension and the outer edge will retract by 1mm from the fender

The inner edge of the M235i rear wheel will move 1mm away from the suspension and the outer edge will retract 1mm from the fender.

I'd check the clearance between your current front wheels and the suspension to made sure you've got 3mm to spare.

Keep in mind that wheels offset changes can and do alter the vehicles suspension geometry and can affect/introduce things like bump steer.

So, just because it "fits" doesn't mean it's optimal. The reason the M235 wheels appear to work despite the offset differences is because the wheels are 0.5 inches narrower.

Also....the overall diameter may be different which can affect your speedo and overall gearing.
