No, as the other forum member replied, you need to buy Enhanced Bluetooth and Wireless charging option. (this also adds the enabling of Wireless Hotspot)..

Warns you if you leave phone in car too

It's quite useful for longer drives, wireless charging is slow... quicker to use standard USB cable

Cheers, thought it was standard and could avoid using the cigarette lighter to USB cable .... Which is a bit ungainly having to leave the phone sticking out of a cup holder. Presumably there's a USB in the centre console , but I use this in my F10 for a music drive, ...

There a USB charger socket in the cup holder wireless charging bay, and another under the arm rest storage. You get a high amp dual USB charger which sits in the cigarette lighter socket, stays hidden when you close the door. I can take pictures if needed.

I did order the extra charger sockets options so yours may be different. Also two sockets at rear for passengers

You sure about being slow. Mine with £18.00 wireless adapter from Halfords for iPhone 5 is quite fast (almost as fast charging from cable)

Has anyone used a wireless adapter with a 6/6s/7 plus? Does it fit in the bay?

Ah, OK, I'm comparing it to my Samsung Adaptive Fast charger... Will compare to standard USB port charging

Thanks again, expecting my car by month end so leave me wait in anticipation of great surprise rather than taking pictures and spoiling it, love a bit of mystery, and you never know in detail what's included on a BMW until it arrives. A girl at work bought a new Hyundai I30 and there's a heap of stuff on it as standard compared to what our luxury brand provides.

Good to know. She has a 7 which I assume also can't wirelessly charge without an adapter. What's Apple playing at?

6 and 6s fit OK,
7 Plus JUST fits in exactly without any case/protector on it... so if you add a wireless charging case to it, it won't fit

In Czech Republic u pay for it. It is around 100 EUR I think.
If you choose the display key or order packet innovation you must take it too. (because you usually place the key on wireless charging spot so it charges during the drive and without it you would have not option how to charge the key)

Which Apple charging case/adapter did you get? I've seen the thin adapters that sit between the case and phone and it's thin connectors slip into the lightning slot so they say is invisible. Any good? Interested to hear experiences.

Is there not a wireless key charging dock in the centre console as standard? I was told by the live chat person on the bmw website that it comes with one!

Charging the key via usb cable is going to be a real pain!!

However the same rumor mill talks about MFi certification. That means that until BMW MFi certifies existing trays... it won't work without an external wireless charging cover for your wireless charging phone
And typically BMW is not fast with this sort of stuff, if they would even decide to implement MFi on existing models...
