RARE non-usa Z4/X3 navigation head units
I have two bmw radios for the z4 and x3. Both are navigation head units. One has a small navigation lcd screen and the other is a minidisc player. They are both brand new and have never been installed, but have not been tested. There is a small dent in the metal case of the lower one. It looks like these would be a direct swap, but determining compatibility is the responsibility of the buyer. $175.00 each Pics:    |

The connector on the back of both units is the same as the USA navi and Business CD head units. The minidisc player is a direct swap for the USA HU I believe, so you would have to get the dash screen, DVD player, etc. as if it was a regular navigation retrofit.
The other one is more obscure. It has the same connector, but I think it uses its small screen for directional display. I'm not sure what it needs to function, but I assume it's less because you don't need to change the dash. I am open to offers on either. |

Ol smash and grab job over in the UK? Niiice. Why didnt you grab the nav screens too?

honestly people in US have absolutely no use for them.
who uses MD anymore? and the one with lil screen...probably not compatible with US units

I haven't recieved the harness and nuts and bolts yet (expecting delivery on Thursday) but I plugged in the head unit to see if it works and it does. The radio and aux worked fine. I am going to start and hopefully finish the retrofit this weekend and will let you guys know if it's 100% compatible. I have not played even one cd in my car in 3 years so to me a small screen is more useful than a CD player. |
