glow plugs and Temp Sensor

I was told i need to replace sensor/module and might as well get the plugs replaced at the same time.

Anyone know how I:
1) decide which ones to buy?
2) where do you think I should buy them?
3) can I do it myself?

The car is 2011, 335D, 104K miles.

Thanks
jonathan

I just posted this. I needed to do my controller but did the plugs as well. I got both plugs and controller from FCP because it's all LIFETIME. if you can't find my posts let me know.

I thought you were replacing it with an M2...

Yes, you can certainly do it yourself if you have the tools and a pair of good hands. I like to get OEM parts from bmwdirectparts.com They seem to be very reasonably priced. Sometimes, ECS has good alternatives and thankfully, they have dropped the ridiculous $200+ free shipping and crazy per item shipping prices they used to add.

If you are going to do the plugs. Make sure you do it on a hot engine though. You can also test them before replacement.

Thanks
M2 chassis assignment is hopefully only a few weeks away.
Still waiting - still deciding on color and either DCT or 6spd
I have a car with PDK and several manual. Each have their own fun factor, but wonder if the DCT has to be driven "hard" to extract the fun factor

Thoughts

DCT will be quicker, but 6 spd is pure. DCT is not a PDK though.

Isn't the PDK just a type of DCT? Each maker seems to have their own brand of dual-clutch. Porsche with the PDK, VW and their DSG, Lamborghini and the LDF. BMW just calls theirs DCT if I'm not mistaken.

I have a PDK in my 2010 Porsche - I have never driven the DCT BMW to compare so I welcome input.
That said I do have 4 other old P-Cars with stick (G50, 915, 915 and a 901) and they are my go-to's for rowing the gears.

I like manual's, but I will share this car with my daughter as she has resisted learning stick. She comes home for spring break in a week and the goal is to force her to drive stick...but not all 18yr old girls like stick.
