Carbon Fiber 440ix F36 M parts all over and done all at once
I wanted to share with this board since this board helped me research and conclude with this purchase.
Had this carbon fiber work done all at once. All Carbon Fiber OEM BMW M carbon fiber parts. Mirror caps; M rear spoiler; M front splitter; M Performance exhaust (mppk). Car is a F36 2017 440ix Gran Coupe M Sport Package mineral gray metallic. Now I'm just waiting and hoping BMWNA will release a carbon fiber diffuser for F36. Worth highlighting, every single OEM Carbon Fiber part is perfect and well worth it for anyone thinking twice. The 2 year dealer parts/labor warranty and worry-free installation I found to be a HUGE relief. I did the math and concluded total-cost-of-ownership puts dealer OEM installed parts ahead of the rest. That's just my opinion of course. Last edited by maxdobe; 02-26-2017 at 01:10 AM.. Reason: Image fix |

Exactly. I'm hoping for BMW to come out with an OEM carbon diffuser that fits my car. Not sure how long that wait will be.

Not much chance of any more F30 parts being released as all their work is now on its replacement the G20 due next year (2018)

All their parts that you grab over the counter come with a lot of margin. They might still make a diffuser (flip side you could argue that after 5 years in this platform, if it hasn't happened yet, it won't).
It does look great OP. Just need a diffuser as the OEM m-sport one is pretty ungratifying when you compare it to the front clip and side skirts. I bought an aftermarket one, and it looks great, but fitment wasn't 100% perfect. Required a bunch of love and swearing for install. |

I agree Wires. The bmw parts from dealers do come with a lot of margin. However, you can actually get OEM carbon fiber parts almost at wholesale on the web. The difference between OEM wholesale prices compared against places like r-w car_bon are often not that different (take cf mirror caps for example), AND when you add the warranty and peace-of-mind factor, personally I believe the value greatly supersedes the aftermarkets typically. But perhaps that's for folks who still have cars under warranty. Not sure. To each his own for sure. Mine is only a few months old and so I wanted to make sure all the parts are from BMW to give my dealer ZERO excuse/debate on any potential future issues with the parts or the install job or when I trade-in.

You could always have the MPE diffuser carbon dipped if you can find a film that's a close match

Just have it hydro dipped. I am thinking about doing my m performance diffuser I ordered yesterday. I also ordered the MPE with carbon fiber tips. My car will be BSM when it arrives 17 440xi Gran Coupe at VPC in Baltimore right now. I just ordered almost every interior m-performance item also except steering wheel. If you shop around you won't believe prices dealer to dealer online. Your car looks awesome!

Thanks guys for the compliments. I'm really enjoying owning this car and adding enhancements to it. A first for me. Next I'm getting 20" OEM rims. I know zero about that topic however so I have a lot of research ahead of me before getting that done.

Yeah great work man, she's a beauty. I have a 340 on the way with several CF upgrades as well, but one thing I didn't get (mainly cause the price seemed too high) were the CF mirror caps. Kind of regretting it now but I can always get those later.

It won't be that great because if you have comfort access it will greatly hinder thefoot kick trunk/hatch opening function

How? I have the OEM M-Performance rear diffuser and my kick hatch doesn't seem to be affected...?

The specific thing I read was about the M3 so maybe it's slightly different or maybe it was a poorly installed part, not sure. But CF will block signals which is why the antenna isn't CF on the M car roof

Chances are poorly installed part. I've seen this feature on plenty of CF diffuser BMWs over the past few years and never seen it have an issue.
